I am a girl who likes nail polish but I sometimes wish to spice up the regular nail look. I don't know if ombre is still in fashion, all I know I've seen lot of hair, nail, makeup and clothing diys regarding this trend. I was never confident to dye my hair or talented enough to try ombre lip look or nail look like the one here. But why would I turn away from the trend if I lack a certain skill or patience? That's when I came up with the look you can see in today's post. But I didn't went to drugstore to buy five different nail polishes if I can do this tutorial with only two nail polishes and save some money!
Since it's winter and I felt inspired by the snow and blue sky, I chose dark blue and white (mine has shimmer in it). There are countless shades and brands out there, choose whichever you like. If you like more prominent omre look, then two contrasts will suit you best (for example, dark-light). And if you'd like barely visible difference between colour palette, then two similar (for example, white-gray) colours will do.
The only thing to do is mix-and-match. Play with the shades and create the palette you're the most satisfied with. Only one note: mix one shade at a time and paint both hands first (one shade for two same fingers) before jumping to another shade. If you wait until you paint one hand first, the colours for second round will dry out and you'll find it difficult to mix the exact same shade twice.
